2 Abandoned Stations in New York

My friends and I made an urbex trip to Detroit and Buffalo. We also stopped at Rochester and Lockport in New York. Because there are some 2 abandoned stations left here!

Union Station : Lockport, New York ユニオン駅

Union Station is a historic train station located at Lockport in Niagara County, New York. It was constructed in 1889, for the New York Central Railroad in the Romanesque style. Union Station was closed in the 1940s and lay unused until 1967. It was renovated and reopened as a restaurant in 1971. The restaurant was gutted by fire in December 1974, rebuilt and again destroyed by fire in 1978. Union Station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. (en.wikipedia.org)

The Rochester Subway : Rochester, New York ロチェスター地下鉄

The Rochester Subway was an underground rapid transit line in the city of Rochester, New York from 1927 to 1956. Now subway is completely abandoned. On June 15, 2006, the city promised to form a committee to investigate all possible options. In July 2008, the city voted to fill in a portion of the tunnel, citing safety concerns. ロチェスター地下鉄は1927年から1956年にニューヨーク州ロチェスター市にある地下高速鉄道線です。2008年7月からトンネル部分を埋めて封鎖する計画が行われています。

We had a thrilling exploration in Rochester subway, We thought it was abandoned there, We can explore halfway work subway… However, Suddenly a car came toward us!! I hid behind Pillar with bated breath, and waited for a car to leave. I look towards the back of the tunnel, There was a maintenance staff. Mmmmm! We give up X (We emerged from the dark subway and into the daylight, I hope to go back again.

ロチェスター地下鉄の探検はスリリングでした！全員がこの場所は完全に廃墟だ！と思っていたので、まさかトンネルから整備業者の車が出てくるとは思わなかった。私達は柱の影に隠れて車がとおり過ぎるのを待ちました。きっと車が行ったから大丈夫かなと思っていたら、トンネルの先には整備業者が作業しているではありませんか！ギブアップ！！たった数分の探索でした…orz..
