Castello di Sammezzano

Sammezzano castle is an abandoned building which is located in the Toscana forest in Italy. It is a beautiful and huge castle has mixed the East and the west, and Moorish revival architecture style. An impressive point is that there are 365 rooms in this castle!!! The master of this building desired he wanted to stay in each different rooms everyday through a year. How luxurious!!!! サメッザーノ城は,イタリアのトスカーナの森の奥深くにある城の廃墟です。東洋と西洋をミックスしたスタイル、ムーア調リバイバルの建築が、キラリと光る美しく巨大な城です。このエキゾチックな城、何と365個も部屋があるというから驚きです！この城を建設した主人は、一年間365日をすべて違う部屋で過したい！と思いこの部屋数になったそうです。何という贅沢な！その贅沢の極みを見せてもらおうじゃないか！！

History
The original palazzo was erected in about 1605 by the Spanish nobleman, Ximenes of Aragon. In the 19th century, Ferdinand Panciatichi Ximenes inherited the property and, between 1853 and 1889, remodeled it into one of the largest examples of Moorish Revival architecture. Umberto I, king of Italy, visited Ximenes at Sammezzano in 1878. The palazzo served as a luxury hotel in the post WWII era; then was vacated and closed.(via; wikipedia) oh…too many rooms…it’s a suvival DOOR horror…

365 Rooms
From outside, I could not believe that this castle had such a many rooms… However, once I opend the door, I had to change my mind!! A huge number of doors each have each own design makes us welcome!!! Every door has each part and personality, but all has exotic atmosphere. It’s fantastic and delicate ornaments made me feel impressive!! I couldn’t count actual the number of rooms, but it seemed like there were 365 rooms, I guess. An official tour was used be held many times, but now it is held only on a regular basis. Too good to leave this castle just abandoned!!!!

外観だけをみると、そんなに部屋数あるかなあ？？と感じていましたが、扉を開けたら、次から次へとデザインの異なる部屋たちがアタシたちを出迎えてくれます！全ての部屋に役割があり、個性がありましたが、一環としてエキゾチックな雰囲気がありました。装飾の細かさには、目がチカチカくらむようなくらい素晴らしかったです。実際私は部屋の数を数えることはしなかったんですが、部屋がたくさんあった！というのは事実です。以前は公式ツアーなども行っていたようですが、現在は定期的にしかやらないようです。廃墟にしておくのがもったいない！
