Abandoned Garment Factory

This time, I’d like to introduce the abandoned garment factory which is in a small small town in Italy. There are sewing machines, fibre spinning machines, press machines, and other things left. We do not know much about its history, but I heard that this factory was closed 30 years ago.

今回ご紹介するのはイタリアの小さな小さな町にひっそりと残された、縫製工場の廃墟。縫製のためのミシン、糸を紡ぐ機械、プレス機などがたくさん残された素敵な場所です。場所の歴史はあまり明かされておらず、工場が閉鎖されたのは30年前だったそうです。

Old Together Guy
While we were going around, an old macho man talked to us…oh no, I hope he won’t get mad…! “…Hey guys, I’m trying to get inside, but I don’t know how to, HAHAHA! So let’s find the way together!!” he said. It seemed like he was a same explorer. DO TOGETHER, DO SNEAKING IN.

周囲を偵察していると、怪しい動きをしている我々に一人のガチムチなオールドマンが話しかけてきました。…これはまさか彼はベリーアングリーしているのでは…と思いきや、‘俺もインしたいんだけど、わからんからトゥゲザーしようぜ！’…とまさかの同業者。そんなこんなでトゥゲザー潜入。

Spinning into Yarn
In the big factory area, there were many sewing machines and other machines covered by spider web. Fantastic!! It seemed like this factory was abandoned and nobody didn’t take care, so everything looked great as an abandoned place! Also outdated clothes were left. These things reminded me that many fashionable clothes used to be made here.

広い工場エリアには、長年の放棄によって、蜘蛛の巣のはったミシンや繊維機械たちがズラリ並んでいました。この光景にはちょっと感動！工場はラスト営業日から手つかずのまま放棄されたように見え、荒らされた様子はあまりなくグッドな状態。機械の他にも、まだ着れそうだけれども、アウト・オブ・ファッション、つまり時代遅れ感のあるたくさんの服が山積みにされ放棄されていました。営業当時もたくさんのお洋服がここで生まれたに違いありません。

Unearthly Dolls
At this abandoned place, living area was established together with an office. In each rooms, I found many things like furniture, dolls, an old dressing table, liquor, and so on. These told me the history and life of employees used to live here.

この廃墟には、工場の他にオフィスが併設されたリビングエリアがあります。各リビングルームには、家具のほかに、人形や古い鏡台、お酒などがあり、それらはここで暮らしていたであろう従業員のヒストリーを感じることができました。
