Several kilometers south from a famous tour spot, Dubrovnik. There is a bay, Kupari, facing on a beautiful sea. Surrounded by a blue ocean, a cluster of abandoned huge hotels stays there. 観光地として有名なドゥブロヴニクから南へ数キロ。美しい海に面したKupariという湾があります。青い海に囲まれた、巨大なホテルの廃墟群が存在します。リゾート地がまるごと廃墟になっている光景には誰でもが興奮するでしょう。ドゥブロヴニクに行ってみよう！というのは囮りで、クパリが旅行のメインだったことをここに反省します…。

History:
かつて高級リゾートエリアで巨大なホテルが立ち並んでいました。1991年、ユーゴスラビアの人民軍はKupariの湾を軍艦で包囲。リゾート地に向かって攻撃をはじめました。クロアチア警察は少ない人数でそれに応戦しましたが、戦いに敗れ、ユーゴスラビア軍に場所ごと略奪されてしまいました。美しかったリゾート地はあっという間に瓦礫の山と化しました。1992年クロアチアが独立しましたが、20年以上廃墟のままとなっています。最近になって、トルコの投資家がリゾート地を再建しようとしているようです。もっと詳しく知りたい方はMessy Nessy Chicのサイトを参照してください！>>>The Bay of Abandoned Hotels

Here used to be a high quality resort area, many huge hotels were there. In 1991, The Yugoslavian army besieged the Kupari bay with warships, and attacked. The Croatian Police resisted them, but they were defeated. After the battle, the bay was plundered. The beautiful resort became a heap of rubble in the twinkling of an eye. After the independence of Croatia in 1992, they’re still leaving this this place abandoned. Recently, a Turkish investor plans to rebuild this bay as a resort.

Whole Ruins 丸ごと廃墟
クパリは、Pelegrin, the Kupari, Goričine, Goričine II, and the Grand Hotel という５つの巨大なホテルで構成しています。これが全部廃墟になっているわけなんですが、ホテルが一つ一つ巨大なので、次回からの記事で個別に紹介したいと思います。お楽しみに！

The resort was made up of several hotels including the Pelegrin, the Kupari, Goričine, Goričine II, and the Grand Hotel, and all hotels were abandoned. Each one was really huge. I’ll introduce these in individual articles.
