This small hospital was opened in the late Meiji period. It was said that this was a fully functioning hospital until 1990 but it was closed because it was getting old. It’s still there in the small town, but nobody cares about this dirty building.
Recently, This abandoned obstetrics and gynecology hospital was discovered by a Japanese explorer. The hospital itself is quite small too, but there are still lots to see despite this, including a complete gynecology room, examination room, a waiting room, a reception, and a private living room of the doctor. A great thing was that the place was hardly ruined.
The most touching thing was the gynecology room. It seems more like a storeroom now but the Shadowless lamp was completely intact! Fantastic! Many people must have been born in here I guess 🙂
Examination room. The natural light comes in through the examination room windows and the lighting is cool! There are many gynecological tools left here; strange shaped tools that would make you scared just thinking about what they were for… A gynecological chair surrounded by the partition has remained clean.
The second floor of the hospital was for pregnant women. There are some beds left behind! From broken windows, the building next door was completely exposed to view.
