The Sattler Theater

What stage do you want to see at this theater? The Phantom of the Opera? Wicked? Now, the Sattler Thater is already abandoned, but one of the places where I have wanted to visit for a long time XD

あなたはこの劇場で何が見たいですか？オペラ座の怪人？ウィキッド？ でもサトラーシアターは、廃墟になってしまったので見れる作品はありませんが、美しい天井のドームを持つ劇場の廃墟で、長い間訪れてみたかった廃墟の一つでした！

The Sattler Theatre opened in 1914. This abandoned theater was founded by John G. Sattler, It was designed by architect Henry L. Span. After that, The building was used for various religious services until closed again in 1996. And now it is lost forever.

サトラー劇場(ザットラー)は1914年にオープンした、ジョン・G・サトラーによって設立されました。デザインは、バッファローの様々な劇場の設計を手がけた建築家ヘンリー・L・スパンによって設計。劇場としての役目を終えた建物は、様々な宗教の活動の場として転用されましたが1996年からずっと廃墟です。

I wanted to go here! Inside, There is a hole in the passage’s ceiling, and thanks to the light who passed through this hole, there was an incredible cool lighting. Now, there aren’t no more audience here, Just dust accumulated on the seats… lonely but beautiful. This is my first experience to explore the abandoned theater, I was really fascinated!

天井のドームからこぼれる光が、うす暗い劇場内を照らしていていました！ うっすらと見れる誰もいない埃のつもった客席が並んでいる光景は、寂しいけど美しすぎる！

With Christina joined our party, we climbed up a broken emergency staircase that seemed to be the only way to up the second floor. Walking on these stairs was really dangerous. It was rickety condition! We went up the staircase focusing on rusted stairs and decaying handrails.

ここでは、プリンセス・オブ・バッファローの異名を持つ、女性廃墟探検家クリスティーナと合流しました。ショートパンツがまぶしい！！そんなことはさておき…劇場へのアクセス方法は、ただ一つ！ 腐った階段を上って二階から潜入！とにかく集中して登るしかなかった。
