Aviation Warehouse is located in El Mirage, California! This building is standing in the quiet and deserted area. The sprawling aviation warehouse yard is an overwhelming sight.

航空機倉庫は、エルミラージュ、カリフォルニア州にある飛行機の倉庫です。 静かで人けのないエルミラージュの荒野にあります。広大な敷地に無数の放棄された航空機…それは圧倒的な光景です！ これらの航空機やその部品は、この倉庫のオーナーのトムソンさんによって、長年集められてきたコレクションです。

El Mirage is closed to the public! It is a disappointing news for everyone in the traveler 🙁 If you want to see this warehouse, You will need your identification, your purpose of shooting, intended use and lot of money! When I visited to here, I heard that about required documents from Thomson. He is smart, very kind, and His character likes the airplane captain 🙂 and I asked him about money, He said ‘It is 3000$’! I was shocked!!! Who will pay that much money!!

ですが!! エルミラージュは非公開です！これは旅行者にとってちょっと残念なニュース。 この倉庫を見たいという方は、撮影証明書、撮影目的と意図が書かれた証明書、と高価なお金が必要になります！アタシはトムソンさんに話を聞くことができたので、試しに撮影するための値段を聞いてみたら、「30万からやで！」と言われ、その場でO.M.G!!!!と叫んでしまいました。そんな金額だれが払うよ…マイケル・ベイくらいしか払えないんじゃないか…

In 1980, Thomson bought the airport at El Mirage and moved his operation from Hawthorne in the Los Angeles metro area to the desert, where land was cheap and he could spread out. Thomson has supplied planes and parts for over three hundred movies, including True Lies, War of the Worlds, Mission Impossible, and Con Air. (via: http://lostamerica.com/)

1980年、トムソンさんはロサンゼルスから移動し、土地が安かったエルミラージュの小さな空港を購入してそこに航空機倉庫をオープンしました。トムソンさんのコレクションは、トゥルーライズを含む300以上の映画に飛行機や部品を提供してきました。代表作に、宇宙戦争、ミッション・インポッシブル、そしてコン・エアーなどがあります。すごい！

The warehouse is surrounded by a fence, so I was able only to look from outside. I was shooting some retired fighters from outside the fence.
倉庫はフェンスに囲まれていますが、外から見るのだけは無料です。フェンスの外から、ちょっとだけ撮影。
