Battleship Mansion

Our last day in Izu we visited Unfinished Mansion! This building looks like a Battleship, hence its nickname “Battleship Mansion”. The place has an impact of exposed steel beams and concrete structure. Because over buried in the weeds now, I do not have the ability to check it out.

伊豆ぶらり廃墟の旅、最終日は未完成のマンションの廃墟を訪れた。コンクリートとむき出しの鉄骨がインパクトのあるこの廃墟は、“軍艦マンション”と呼ばれています。いまでは雑草に埋もれかけているので、全体像を確認することができませんが、見た目の形が軍艦のように見えるので、廃墟界隈の人達からはそう呼ばれています。

History:
Battleship Mansion was built in 1866, It was going to be a big condominium of 3 floors. In 1993, Suspend construction by the economic downturn.

軍艦マンションは1866年に建てられ3階建ての大きな分譲マンションになる予定だった。1993年に景気悪化による建設を中断しました。

The isn’t atmosphere that someone were living here. There is just the empty space surrounded by concrete. You are finding the charm in unfinished building such is difficult, but I like unfinished building, so there was no problem 🙂 I enjoyed the atmosphere of the full exploration!

ここには人が生活した雰囲気は一切なく、コンクリートの空間が残されているだけです。そのような廃墟には魅力を見出すことは難しいですが、私は未完成の建物の廃墟が結構好きなので結構楽しめた場所でした 🙂

Izu is a heaven of Abandoned places! Because You can explore many abandoned hotels in a short period of time. I recommend Izu for tourists who like abandoned.
