Abandoned Cement Plant in China

I recently discovered with great surprise this amazing cement plant on HK explorers site. The plant just looked too tempting to me. HK urban explorers call this place “Fake Gunkanjima(偽軍艦島).” I also feel the same Gunkajima!!

香港の探索家から“偽軍艦島”と呼ばれる巨大なセメント工場の廃墟が中国にあると聞いて、一路中国へ！探索に行った日は猛暑、香港の探検家のSing,HOLOK,Tongと共にセメント工場を探検しに行きました。

History;
Dongguan Dongjiang Cement Plant (東莞東江水泥廠) is the abandoned huge cement factory in Dongguan Shipai Town by the Dongjiang River. The factory was built in 1980 and reached its peak in 1990! They started a joint venture with another company and the new company was renamed as “Henderson Cement Co.Ltd.” but The production quality of Co Ltd was unable to meet the international standards. As such, The local government ordered it to cease its production, and the company closed down eventually.

東江セメント工場は、中国広東省東莞市にあるメチャクチャ巨大なセメント工場の廃墟です。1980年に設立され1990年までセメント生産で成功しました。その後、会社を合併し”ヘンダーソンセメント株式会社”と改名されましたが、合併後はセメントの品質が国際基準を満たすことができず閉鎖され、工場は廃墟になったそうです。

東莞東江水泥廠是全東莞最大的水泥廠，建於八十年代，位於東莞市石排鎮燕窩村東江河邊，是東莞石排鎮工業發展新起點。到九十年代初因水泥市場變幻的影響，東江水泥廠陷入嚴重負債並與另一家公司合資為名為東莞恆基水泥有限公司。更一度成為東莞市政府指定企業。直到 2004 年世界環保條例修定，東莞恆基水泥有限公司生產品質並不達到國際環保指標，結果被政府勒令停止生產，最後倒閉。

On a very hot day, I visited the huge plant with Sing and HOLOK of HK explorers! This plant has a strange construction. It’s a labyrinth of concrete structures! Really huge! This is a really coooooooooool! Perfect to explore! everything turned out as planned!

コンクリートの建物が迫ってくる感じが、たしかに軍艦島っぽい！廃墟と化し、植物に浸食されたセメント工場はかっこいい！工場の内部の階段をのぼっていくとまるでエッシャーのような感覚になるくらい複雑な構造でした。良くわからん表現ですが…。とにかく、ここはすごかった！最高!
