I went to New Orleans for four days for my work. New Orleans is very far from Japan. The Flight was 17 hours ! If it wasn’t for work, I probably wouldn’t have gone to New Orleans because it’s so far away. I went with a colleague and we had little free time to stroll around New Orleans and some sightseeing. I will tell you all about it now 😀 One thing that really made an impression on me was the buildings have a European Style. It’s America, but the atmosphere is not America!
今年６月ニューオリンズに仕事関係で行く機会がありました。フライトは合計１７時間、乗り換え一回、アメリカだけど仕事でなきゃ行かない遠い場所でした。仕事の合間に少しだけ自由な時間があったので、そこで見たニューオリンズの街は、建物はヨーロピアンスタイルで、アメリカだけどアメリカじゃない雰囲気。ニューオリンズ独自の文化がそこにありました。

Voodoo’s presence is one of the most common motifs in New Orleans, and it has many Voodoo shops and art museums. I bought cute voodoo dolls! They are like talismans.
ブードゥーは、ニューオーリンズで一般的な宗教の一つであり、至る所にブードゥーグッツショップやブードゥー博物館があります。私はお店でハンドメイドのかわいいブードゥー人形を購入しました！彼らはお守りのような役割を果たします！

Tragedy of New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina is still fresh in our memory. Katrina destroyed the city, the countryside, and there are also some places that do not have reconstruction yet. New Orleans has famous abandoned places such as, Six-Flags and Market Street Power Plant.. Of course , Did I go to these places? …About that , I’ll be telling you the story next time.
ニューオリンズは過去にハリケーンカトリーナが直撃し、都市や田舎は大規模な打撃を受けました。数十年たったいまでも復興していない場所がありました。廃墟として有名なのはシックス・フラッグスという遊園地の廃墟と、マーケットストリート発電所があります。…そのことについては今後記事にしようと思います！
