This place is located in a small village in Ibaraki prefecture. This used to be used for small hospital of villager. Looking at the structure from outside, seems just old Japanese house, but the front entrance design is western style. I visited this small hospital called with my friend.

Suddenly, I heard the history of this place from a neighbourhood’s woman. This clinic was builded by Hattori Family, because they want create a kind of small town in this area, a convenient place with some public facilities. Now those facility are gone already, and this abandoned clinic is the only thing that was left. Interesting story!

We found a secret entrance away, behind some trees. Ojamashimasu! It’s fairly small in size, as far as the clinic goes, but there is still lots to see despite this, including a complete examination room, a waiting room, a reception, and a private living room of doctor. Probably many patients visited this structure 🙂 秘密の入り口を見つけ、すぐに中に入りました。

I find some historically thing in the second floor! The most touching thing was found the doctor’s family picture and I found also a lot of photos from the World War era! Some location in the photos is not Japan! Likely China? Those looks amazing!!! This clinic is small but we had a very good exploration 🙂 二階で歴史的なものを発見!

Cool location and it is a wonderful thing to find photos like that. The old residents got a face, it tells alot more of the location than the location for itself. Thanks fpr sharing Ikumi.
