Manicomio di Colorno

The 2nd abandoned asylum after Manicomio di R, I explored the “Manicomio di Colorno”. How many historical abandoned asylums are in Italy,,,Fooooo!!!!!! Just like the “Goat Asylum”, this building is in a provincial city. You will be surprised at its appearance and location.

Manicomio di R(ヤギ精神病院)に続いて2件目の精神病院の廃墟、コロルノ精神病院を探検してきました。歴史的価値が高いであろう精神病院の廃墟ありすぎやろ…イタリア…。とシャウトしたくなるほど素敵な廃墟です。ここもヤギ精神病院と同じく、イタリアの地方都市にあり、街中に堂々と残る廃墟なので驚きピーチの木です。

The Attack Of Mosquitoes
The location was next to a famous place, it was a little bit hard to get inside. The hardest thing was the attack of mosquitoes…otherwise I would sneak into the building. Still itchy… itchy…tasty…

ちょっと有名な観光地の隣にあった場所にあるため、入るのはちょっとあれでしたが、何より大変だったのが尋常じゃない数のヤブ蚊に襲撃されたことでしょうか…。それ以外はしゃがみ歩きでコソコソ行けば、インサートすることができました。それにしてもカユイ…かゆ…うま。

The Main Building
The most famous thing in this abandoned place is the main entrance building. Even this place was for medical but its interior decoration reminds me of Italian architecture. The graffiti of the main entrance is also really famous. The city office ordered a graffiti artist to draw this. I heard there were arguments both for and against, however, personally I like this kind of winding line man.

この廃墟で有名なのが、エントランスのあるメインの建物です。主に医療事務の役割のあった場所なので、患者棟の質素な雰囲気とはうってかわり、イタリア建築を思わせるオシャレな内装です。メインの建物には面白いグラフィティがあることで有名で、市役所がわざわざグラフィティアーティストを呼んで書いてもらったそうです。これには賛否両論あったと聞きましたが、私はこのウネウネした影人間の落書きは嫌いじゃありません。

The Asylum Labyrinth
After getting in from the back door, there is a long passageway with hospital rooms. Its wall has holes…it was kind of chaos but sometimes I saw wheelchairs and beds, still I could feel the unique atmosphere of asylum. It seems like this building had committed several thousands of patients because it has 4 storeys and many rooms.

裏口にあたる場所から入ったので、入ってすぐに患者室が続く長い廊下がお目見え。壁などには穴がブチ開けられていたりと、かなりド派手に有られていましたが、時たま車椅子やベットなどが残り、精神病院独特の雰囲気が残っていました。患者棟の構造は四階建てで、かなりの部屋数があったので、数千人規模の患者がいたのではないかと思われます。

The Docking Church
A church is next to the asylum. I could not go inside but from the window of nave attic, which was connected with the asylum loft, I could see inside. I could not hear anything, and it was really mysterious.

精神病院の隣には教会があります。教会内部には入る事はできませんでしたが、病院側から屋根裏でつながっているので、身廊の屋根裏の窓から、教会内部の全景をのぞむことができます。シーンと静まり返った教会は神秘的な雰囲気に包まれていました。
