This, Monument to the Revolution, is also famous for some Japanese people as EVANGELION like. One of the huge monuments built on places used to be concentration camps after WW2, in the former Yugoslavia era.
エヴァンゲリオンの使徒のようなデザインのモニュメントとして、一部の日本人にも有名だったりする、モスラヴィナの革命記念碑。(Monument to the Revolution of the people of Moslavina or simply Monument to the Revolution, Podgaric Monument) 旧ユーゴスラビア時代の、第二次世界大戦後の強制収容所の跡地などに建てられた巨大モニュメント群のひとつです。個人的には21世紀少年のトモダチっぽい…と思いました。威圧感とか。宗教ぽさとか。
モスラヴィナの革命記念碑は、クロアチアの首都、ザグレブから車で一時間半ほどのポトガリチ(Podgaric)という村の丘の上にあります。今も、地元の人びとに管理され、夜になるとライトアップもされるれっきとした観光地であって廃墟ではありません。
The Monument to the Revolution of the people of Moslavina is located on the hill of Podgaric, one and half hour away from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Actually this monument is not abandoned. Even now it is managed by local people, and also lighted up, known as a nice tourist spot.
ドゥシャン・ジャモニャ(Dušan Džamonja)という彫刻家によって制作されたものです。モニュメントは共産主義、社会主義の強さを象徴したデザインで、見る者に圧倒的な印象を与えます。左右の翼は自由を意味し、中央の目は生命を表しているそうです。
Its design symbolizes the strength of communism and socialism, gives a huge impression to people. The wing means freedom, and the eye in the center shows life. I could feel the smell of Soviet…foooo!!! Love it!!!!
In front of the monument, people who sacrificed for WW2 were sleeping in the grave. Historically well-known and thoughtful place, here is.
モニュメント手前に盛り上がっている土山の下には、大戦中に犠牲になった人々の遺体が眠っているそうです。歴史的な話も絡めて、考えさせられる、心に響く記念碑でした。
