貝塚の結核療養所

Opened in 1948, originally built as a special support school for children, the school was turned into a tuberculosis sanatorium in 1958.
The sanatorium had the educational institution that had given children opportunities for learning during their treatments. For years the sanatorium has had many tuberculous patients, but it was closed in 1992 since the number of tuberculous patient continued to decrease gradually due to the breakthroughs of the chemotherapy with tuberculous treatments.

大阪に存在するこの結核病棟は、もともとは子供のための特別支援学校として1948年に開校されました。療養所は1958年に子供たちが結核の治療と学習に同時に行える教育機関結核療養所になりました。当時、多くの患者が入院していましたが、化学療法の進歩により結核患者の数は徐々に減少していき1992年に閉鎖されました。
