Lee Plaza (also known as the Lee Plaza Hotel or Lee Plaza Apartments) is a vacant high-rise apartment building in Detroit, Michigan. It is a registered historic site by the state of Michigan and was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places on November 5, 1981. First built as an ornate high rise hotel along West Grand Boulevard, Lee Plaza was an upscale apartment with hotel services. After economic contraction, the apartment’s ownership changed several times, being used as a senior citizens’ complex before finally closing as a residence in the early 1990s.(wikipedia)
リー・プラザ(リー・プラザホテル,リー・プラザアパート) はデトロイトを代表する15階建て高層マンションの廃墟です。1981年にはアメリカ合衆国国家歴史登録財としてミシガン州に登録されている（にも関わらず廃墟だ…）西部大通り（Grand Boulevard）沿いに建てられホテルと高級マンションを兼ね備え、一階にはダンスホールや、バーなども設けたゴージャスな設計でした。1990年代初めの景気衰退後には、高齢者用の施設として転用されるもリー・プラザは閉鎖されました。

Early in the morning, it was still dark outside, we picked Edward up and headed for the top roof of Lee Plaza together. I climbed up the bad conditioned stairs to the 15 floors. Hummmmm… because of lack of exercise…, this was a tiring work, God! We reached the roof and saw the sun rising. It was a stunning view! I was also able to see the Michigan Central Station in the morning mist. Lucky!
早朝、デトロイトの廃墟ホテル、リー・プラザの階段をのぼりはじめた。埃っぽく、暗い階段を15階まで一気に登るのは運動不足の体にはしんどい…しかーし最上階でリー・プラザから見た朝日は最高だった！朝もやの中のデトロイトの街並みは美しい！ 遠くには、ミシガン・セントラル・ステーションが見えました!結構大きい！

I think The must-see spot in Lee Plaza was the entrance hall on the ground floor. The aesthetic architecture is still there. The famous grand piano had been destroyed by someone…. And I found drug syringes left in the entrance hall. Drug junkies were possible that is still inside… So terrible!!!
リー・プラザで一番の見どころは、一階のエントランスホールです。当時のデコラティブな天井や壁が今も残る素敵空間が広がっていました。有名なグランドピアノは、破壊されてただの残骸になっていました…残念だな。ドラッグの注射器が落ちていた…改めてアメリカの廃墟に来ているんだなあ…としみじみ感じました。
When the sun rise was done, we went down the stairs and explored each floor. The inside was very tattered with a lot of trash left behind. Most of the floors looked same, but we found out some personal object of former residents left in the rooms. There was interested!
私たちは来た階段を下り、各フロアを探索しました。フロアの構造はほとんど同じでかなりボロボロで、人為的な破壊が多いように見えました。でもいくつかの元住民の生活用品をいくつか発見！ぬいるぐみがTVに押し込まれていたのには笑えた。
うわあ・・・この注射器・・・アメリカの廃墟って感じですね
