台湾にUFO？ UFO has already taken over the earth and decided to make their stay in Taiwan. What does NASA have to say about this? Aliens know what they are doing, grabbing a spot right in front of the beach to build their community. This isn’t even the first time they snuck into Taiwan either! There used to be famous pod-type resort hotels called Sanzhi UFO houses, but those were taken down by the Earth Defense Force in 2008. But they were not giving up so easily. Here they are again with the newest edition of UFO housings, Venturo and Futuro!
すでUFOは地球を侵略しそのまま台湾に定住したという事実。この事態をNASAはどう考えているんでしょうか？UFOたちは海が見渡せる絶景のロケーションを選び、地球侵略の合間に余暇を楽しむためのコミュニティを作った模様。実は、台湾にUFOが侵略したのは、これが二回目、つまりセカンドインパクトなのです。ファーストインパクトの際は、Sanzhi UFO houses (三芝飛碟屋)と呼ばれるリゾートホテル形UFOが第9地区ばりに定住。しかし、2008年に地球防衛軍によって撤去されてしまいました。しかし! UFOたちは地球への定住をあきらめなかったようです。ベンチュロ(Venturo)とフトゥーロ(Futuro)という最新型のUFOを従えて、再び台湾の地に戻ってきました。
Little History
One of Taiwan’s prestigious entrepreneurs decided to develop a new entertainment area for the foreign travelers and Taiwan’s high class in the Wanli beach. The project soon suffered from the lack of funding. They later realized that this place’s not suited for vacation spot in the first place; it’s ridiculously hot in the summer, and strong winds create tsunami in the winter. All spas, hotels along with UFO housing were forced to close and has been abandoned since then.台湾の富裕層、外国人向け娯楽エリアとして、台湾の一流起業家は建築家マッティ・スローネンのフトゥーロハウス(Futuro Houses)を使い、ワンリ（Wanli）湾にビーチフロントを建設しました。オープンして間もなくプロジェクトの資金源が難航。さらには夏場は非常に暑く、冬は強風で波が起こるという立地が発覚し、バケーションに理想的な土地ではないという結果を迎えUFOハウス含む、スパやホテルも閉業し荒廃していきました。いつ閉業したのか正しい年代はわかっていません。
Creator of UFO
Finnish architect Matti Suuronen originally designed this Futuro Houses back in 1960s. It’s definitely worth the time visiting this place since there’re only less than 100 of them built back in the 60s. This type of housing is still being loved by the vintage enthusiasts, and can be spotted around the world. Taiwan, however, is probably the only place that has this many housings.
フィンランドの建築家マッティ・スローネン（Matti Suuronen）がデザインしたフトゥーロハウス(Futuro Houses)は1960年代の作品。当時建設されたUFOハウスは100戸未満と言われていて、そのうちの、12戸がワンリ湾にあったのは驚きです（現在8棟現存）。ヴィンテージ愛好家に今も愛されてつづけ、世界中でその姿を目撃することができます。
Aliens Yearn for Earthling’s Living Style
A lot of the UFO houses are barricaded by panels and barbed wires. As you enter from the door without the barricade, you’ll immediately feel the crazy heat coming from inside… along with the mold infested smell… Each of the housing has a spacious retro kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom. I spotted a room with Tatami too! (I guess it’s geared toward Japanese customers)
こんなにたくさんのUFOが拝める場所はここしかないのでは! UFOハウスは板や有刺鉄線のバリケードで閉じられているところも多いです。バリケードのない扉を開けると、中から異常な熱気とカビの匂いがブワっと漏れてきます。広々としたレトロなキッチン、ベッドルーム、バスルーム、生活するには十分な要素がそろっています。日本人宿泊者のために畳のあるUFOハウスもあったとか。和風UFO。
Alien’s Safe Haven | 宇宙人たちの安住の地
There are several UFO housing still in use, and staffs reside in the area. They seemed to be demolishing the remaining housings… but not so sure what they were up to. I saw a guy who must be seriously rich taking a tour around the area with his subordinates. He must be looking into buying this area and hotels in the near future.
エリアにはスタッフが常駐しており、いくつかの家は使用されているような印象でした。彼らは一部の家を解体？しているように見えたんですが…一体何をしているのかわかりません。探索中、地球防衛軍らしきグループが場所の視察に訪れていました。(お金持ち感漂う人々)。ここもUFOの安住の地になるか…将来は不透明なままです。
