Wood factory in Udine

世紀末工場。One of the most famous urbex sites in Udine would be the terminal station SAFAU, but I noticed a different abandoned building near the area. “A. TAVAN. Industria Legna Pavimenti in legna” written on the front gate; I guess it says Taban’s wood factory? I didn’t do any prior research about this place (didn’t even know it existed) so I decided to spend some time to look around the site. I found a small creek running through the area but it looked so unnaturally blue… there’s gotta be something leaking… what’s with this place…

イタリアのウーディネで有名な廃墟といえば、終着駅の廃墟SAFAUがありますが、そのお隣に何やら隣接する別の廃墟があることに気づきました。正面ゲートには” A.TAVAN. Industria Legna. Pavimenti in legna” の文字。Tabanさんの木材工場的なことが書いてあります。前情報なくたまたま発見し気になったので、周囲を探索。工場の周りには、小さな小川が流れていましたけど、ものすっごい不自然でブルー。絵の具を溶かしたかのような不透明度…一体、何が流れているんでしょ・・・。

Fortunately, I was able to find a place to climb in, and the area was bigger than I expected. The storage units were lined up in a row and watchtower was hovering over. Lots of varieties! This factory seemed like a great hangout place for the local delinquents; the whole place was vandalized and filled with trash. I still couldn’t figure out if there was any correlation between this and the train station though.

いい感じに壊れた塀があったので、乗り越え中へ。敷地内はかなりの広さ。倉庫らしき建物が並んでいたり、監視塔があったりとなかなかバラエティに富んでる。地元の不良少年たちの出入りがあるようで、落書きや、ゴミが散乱し、世紀末感漂う雰囲気。終着駅の廃墟とは線路で分断されていたので関係があるのかないのかどうかは結局わからずじまい。探索中に、上空の低い位置をヘリコプターが何回も何回も往復して飛んでたのが気になりましたけど、あれも一体何だったんだろう…。
