台湾最恐？ This hospital’s famous for its haunted stories and gets featured by the media each year as the summer comes around. The overgrown trees outside the hospital literally covers its walls, making it look even more like a creepy haunted house. What surprises me is that some media reports openly list the address to this site, and is practically open to the public so anyone can get inside to take a peek. Children attending nearby middle school often dare one another to go inside. It’s no wonder this place is loved by Urbex and various photographers.
心霊スポットとして有名な員林病院は員林市の街はずれにあり、夏場の心霊ブームになると必ずと言っていいほどメディアに取り上げられる場所です。病院の外観に生える熱帯植物の根は長い髪の毛のように建物にまとわりつき、お化け屋敷感を漂わせます。ただ、おどろおどろしい外観とは裏腹に、住所公開もしている誰でも簡単に出入りできる廃墟だったり。中学校が隣接しているため、子供たちが度胸を試す度胸試しスポットだったり。Urbex愛好家や写真家からも人気の場所です。
A Little History
It has to have some sort of dark history to be given so many haunted stories, right? Medical malpractice? Accidents? Creating one of those famous hopping vampires? Not at all. It initially opened its door as a regular hospital owned by a local health bureau. The hospital was closed down around 1997, and city’s been taking care of it ever since for over 20 years. They’re attempting to renovate it as a nursing home, but they seem to be having a problem funding it.心霊スポットになるからにはさぞかし暗黒歴史を持っているんではないだろうか…。医療事故の多発？キョンシーの実験を行ってた？ということはなく、1963年に元々は保健局の病院としてオープンしました。1997年ごろに廃墟となったようで、病院は20年以上放棄され、市が土地を管理しています。介護センターへと再生させようとしていますが、資金繰りが難航しているようです。
Hanged body shocked everyone
Someone found a hanged body in the lobby and police was dispatched too, but later found out that it was just a doll. It was supposedly a prop set up for shooting some drama.
ロビーにショッキングな首吊りを模した人形をぶら下げたニュースはここ最近のことです。本物の首つりだ！と警察が出動する騒ぎになりました。この事件はドラマ撮影のための小道具だったと後々判明。
