Grands Moulins de Paris

This huge plant; Grands Moulins de Paris was built in 1920 and was used to process flour. It was closed in 1983, and sold in an auction, but remains owned by a private. There was a plan to reuse the factory, but it did not work out well. The plant was also burned by a fire in 2001, however, it is still standing today in a relatively good state.

グラン・ムーラン製粉工場は1920年に建てられ、かつてヨーロッパの小麦粉を生産を支える主要工場の一つでした。新しい工場の完成により1983年に閉鎖され、民間の所有者に渡りました。場所を再利用する計画があったようですが、今も廃墟のままです。

During summer 2011, I visited Lille, France, for exploring the Grands Moulins de Paris. The plant is surrounded by a fence, but we were able to enter the facility through a hole that someone made.

2011年の夏、グラン・ムーラン製粉工場の廃墟に行ってみました。工場のまわりはフェンスと塀で囲まれていましたが、フェンスに穴が開いていたので簡単に入ることができました。…簡単すぎると逆に怖いですが。

There were some cows and horses… I was wondering who owns them.

工場の敷地は広いので、建物に近づくには雑草に覆われた空き地を歩く必要がありました。歩きはじめると地面に何か落ちている?? …え…ウンコがめっちゃ落ちてる！すごい数のウンコ！
「うわあ！ウンコ地雷だ！足元に気をつけるんだ！！」しかしウンコの主はどこにもいません。

While walking, and pay attention to the poop bomb, I approached the factory… and was really huge! Find this huge factory in the middle of a residential area, was kind of out-of-place for me. I start to explore around, and with caution, I climbed an unsafe stairs going to the top floor. It was a thrilling experience. I was fascinated by this architecture that looks like a manor house.

ウンコ地雷に注意しながら、製粉工場に到着。工場は本当に巨大でした! 工場じゃなく巨大な城のようにみえます。住宅街に建っているのも場違いな印象でした。 規模といい、雰囲気といい、大満足な廃墟物件でした！
