A Top Secret Mysterious Farm

Mysterious farm(Yama No Makiba) is the name of a Japanese urban legend, and the name of a mysterious place in some mountains. It became a famous story after one book that tells about urban legends in Japan wrote about it.

According to Mr.Ichirou Nakayama who is the author of the book, there are ten events that happened at Mysterious farm he had experienced. When he was in college, he and his friends had been looking for a good location for shooting a movie as their graduation work. On their way to search for one of the mountain in Japan, they finally got to the place that seemed like a weird abandoned farm. A cowshed existed but there were no signs that cow were raised there. There also was an odd two-storied house without stairs. What’s more, the eeriest thing was the room on the second floor which walls were filled with tons of Japanese Shinto talisman, which is thought to have mysterious powers to hold evils or stay away from them, and there was something like graffiti on the wall saying “Help me!”. There were just a lot of strange things lying around there… However, the mystery just gets deeper and deeper…

To be honest, when I explored this place the first time, I didn’t feel that it was spooky out there, nothing happened. However, no matter whether it was the truth or not, such kind of urban legend makes me really excited and drives me to explore the place.
I may imagine that if this place were something like a facility with UFO’s, a place where a curious phenomenon like Roswell might take place, or maybe there would be a chance to encounter something unknown. In spite of my expectations, I could see no alien and no agent with a black suit there. This place may be just a quiet, peaceful, and deserted mysterious farm.
