A erosion-control dam are barriers to control soil erosion. These Dams were built throughout Japan. Some explorer call this dam “GUNDAM Erosion-Control Dam.” Does it look like a GUNDAM? Why is it called this? I don’t know…I think it is an interesting nickname 🙂 Anyway, the design is cool !“Check dam”
A friend and I came across this place during a short driving journey in the mountains of Hyogo Prefecture. I hadn’t imagined of was a erosion-control dam! Some explorer call this dam “GUNDAM Erosion-Control Dam.” This is not abandon.
この兵庫県の山の中にあるSFライクな砂防ダムは、一部の探検家に”ガンダム砂防ダム”と呼ばれています。ガンダムの”ダム”と”Dam”をかけているわけでもないと思われます。色は赤いのでジオンぽくも思えますが…特に三倍の速さで砂を防ぎますという意味ではありません。
近づくと思ったよりも巨大に見え、大きなパイプの接合で構成されたデザインはすごくイカしていました！
