The Tenjin castle is a small castle located in Nagatoro-cho, chichibu, saitama pref. It is said that The lord of the castle was Fujita Yasukuni who had been a retainer with Uesuji Yamauchi, and he gave the Tenjin castle to a son of Houjo Ujiyasud who had been adopted in 1550. And it is said that this castle fell to the enemy in 1590.
In 1970, for the purpose of attracting attention from the public, the imitation keep of the castle was build on the site where the honmaru(the main keep of a castle) used to be on. However, it turned out that this business couldn’t pay afterward, this building has been forgotten since then.
Now, nobody looks after this place, so floors and ceilings are left collapsed, it’s totally abandoned.

Hello Ikumi, fatastic pictures but very sad to see that old castle destroyed. But i know this from the castles here in Germany. To expensive to rescue all. So pity ! But what i want to ask you are there still fragments of the walls around the castle ? An have it a cellar ? It looks like this on pic 8, there is a hole and in that hole i can see a little window.
