This abandoned US military base is located in Fuchu-city, Tokyo. Many abandoned buildings are hidden in the forest located next to the base of the Japanese Self-Defense forces. There are many buildings and facilities including a relay station, barracks and two huge parabolas in the base. A tower of communications in the west of the base which is 107meters high seems to be still working there.
You could feel as if you were walking in a jungle, when you go explore in the forest inside the base. Of course, you are not allowed to enter this base now.

The other day, we took the defensive position near the base to make an excursion to the US military base. This military base is surrounded by exclusion fences . I started to explore this area with a fellows Mr. Asai very early in the morning. He is a Japanese urban explorer, and his web site “Rusty Garden” is dealing with lots of photos of abandoned locations.
Now, my goal is to climb up one of the parabolas in the base. We’ve headed deeper into the forest with caution to patrol cars . After looking around for a while, we were able to find two parabolas stood inconspicuously in the forest. I’ve succeeded in climbing the antenna. How beautiful the rising sun was! This is a unbelievable cool place to climb up! And then, this spectacular spot had been gradually hidden behind trees.
