The hotel in Bedugul is the abandoned of a large hotel known as the ”Palace of Ghosts” among the locals in Bali. The building was built around the 1990s and became the largest hotel in the area. Due to the economic crisis and the Bali bombing around the 2000s, it was closed and left untouched.

This hotel claims to have been closed down due to political ties. During my search, I was told some scary information by a local I met inside the hotel. ”A political faction was staying at the hotel, but all of them disappeared overnight.” and ”A bunch of corrupt politicians were executed by someone else in here.” Such rumors are very interesting, and many of the ruins of Bali have such a dark history.
政治がらみで閉鎖されたとしているこのホテル。探索最中にホテルの内部で出会った地元民から怖い情報を聞いてもないのに聞けと言わんばかりに話しかけられ、稲川淳二さんもびっくりな怖い話を仕入れました。「政治家一派がホテルに宿泊していたが、一夜にして全員が行方不明になったんじゃ！」「汚職まみれの政治家たちがここで殺されたんじゃよ！」 行方不明なのか殺されたのか、もう欲張りすぎる設定です。バリの廃墟の噂、そういうのダーク設定が多すぎて好きです。
Anyway, although the inside of the hotel was abandoned, we could feel the atmosphere of those days when it was in operation with little destruction or collapse. All of the furnishings and other items have been taken out and the space is neat and tidy.
ともあれ、ホテルの内部は廃墟でありながら、破壊や崩壊が少なく営業していた当時の雰囲気を感じることができます。調度品などは全て持ち出されており整然とした空間が広がります。
