Withered Jungle Park

Irozaki Jungle Park was a tropical plant theme park that was represent of the jungle. It seems that the park was in business until around 2003 but closed after decreasing tourism of following a decline in the resort boom. Located in the southernmost tip of the Izu Peninsula, Access is very inconvenient! There is nothing else just Jungle Park in this location…

石廊崎ジャングルパークは、ジャングルをイメージした熱帯植物園のテーマパークでした。2003年頃まで営業していましたが、観光客の現象により閉鎖。伊豆半島の最南端に位置しているので、アクセスが非常に不便！しかも周辺には何もないときた…まさに辺境のテーマパーク。

Although we had been exploring the abandoned places of Izu, and most of it has a lot of abandoned hotels. They look all similar for me… I was bored with those… So, Jungle Park’s explore was my mood is reset! And interesting exploration 😀

伊豆にある廃墟をぐるりと探索をしてきましたが、その多くがホテルの廃墟ばかり。さすがに飽きていたので、ジャングルパークはタイプがちがう廃墟だったので面白い探検ができました!

There are 4 large greenhouses, they are connected by one huge greenhouse. It is abandoned, but inside was a little warm because it is a greenhouse the wind from the outside can’t enter from the windows. Thanks to that condition tropical plants had withered a little, and the plants were pretty good!

大きな四つの温室が繋がって一つの大きな温室になっている構造。廃墟といえど、中は少し暖かく、熱帯植物たちは少しだけ枯れていたけど、まだまだ元気な状態でした 😀

In the tribal area, You can enjoy the lifestyle of Toraja in Indonesia. There was Toraja House, Totem pole and a wild pond in which a crocodile could come up at any moment.

部族エリアでは、インドネシアに暮らすトラジャ族の生活風景を見ることができます。トラジャ族の家やトーテムポール(下半身に注目してしまう)や、ワニが出そうな池がありました。

We found a Tarzan rope! We have hanging on it to enjoy Tarzan mood! I have been falling quickly because my arm strength is weak, Canadian Tarzan and Itarian Tarzan were good!

ジャングルパークで天井からぶら下がる長いロープを見つけたクリス。みんなでぶら下がってターザンになろう！私は腕の力が弱いのですぐに落ちてしまったけど、カナディアンターザンとイタリアンターザンはターザンモード全開だった。やっぱ海外はちがうなあ…。
