Michigan Central Station was built in mid-1912 through 1913 for the Michigan Central Railroad, it was the tallest rail station in the world. The building is located in the Corktown district of Detroit near the Ambassador Bridge approximately 1.2 km southwest of downtown Detroit. In 2011 work began to remove glass and asbestos from the thousands of window frames in the station. To date, the all floor windows have been removed. Work continues, though at a slow pace. Well, We have met another urban explorer Edward, who had been familiar with Urbex places in Detroit. But he said to us that it was extremely difficult to sneak into the place. Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s cruel news for me, that made me very sad :(! That’s life… but I have to say that I’ll be back to Detroit and have revenge next time. I decided to view it from a fence outside instead 🙂 but wasn’t enough! Cazzo!
今回、このミシガンセントラルステーションへの侵入は、重要なミッションの一つはずだったのですが…私たちはデトロイトの廃墟事情を良く知るエドワード氏と合流した。クリスいわくプリンス・オブ・デトロイトの異名を持つ人物らしい。そして彼から、駅への侵入を中止するように言われてしまった! ここ数年はガードが非常に難しくなったらしい。据え膳食らった感。
The station has appeared in several films. For example, was used for scenes in the movie Transformers in October 2006.
駅はいくつかの映画やドラマのロケ地として使用され、代表作品はトランスフォーマー(2006)で主人公がメガトロンに追われ、この駅に逃げ込むシーンで使用されているので、エントランスの様子を見ることができますよ！

Don’t worry Ikumi, it probably looks much better from outside than inside 🙂 Like a lot of urbex locations actually. Is it strange that such an clearly abandoned building is that well protected, I guess they don’t want it to be covered by graffiti?
Graffiti is not good for them. I think so too. They want to save this building of historically valuable. I wanted to view the Detroit from the roof of station…Trust myself, I can do it to someday. 🙂
It’s probably doable. Haha, they should really build the Detroit Sky Tree so that we can appreciate all the ruins of the city in a glance 🙂
